Beyond Building DX, MerlotLab is preparing for the Building AX era, in which AI operates buildings on its own.
We see the lighting installed throughout a building as its nervous system. By applying our in-house Merlot Mesh to lighting across the entire building, we connect the whole building into a single wireless network.
The wireless infrastructure MerlotLab builds is not limited to any single service. On top of this lighting infrastructure, a wide range of smart building services—energy management, indoor positioning, workplace environment management, security, safety, fire detection, and more—can be continuously expanded on a single platform.
The data accumulated in this process becomes the foundation for AI to understand a building as a single living organism and operate it autonomously. By shifting building operations that once relied on human experience and intuition to a data- and AI-driven autonomous system, MerlotLab aims to realize autonomous smart buildings that sense, decide, and operate on their own.
